POLITEAMA ROSSETTI

Politeama Rossetti is a theater founded in Trieste in 1954. Its the residence of Teatro Stabile del Friuli Venezia Giulia one of the oldest and most prestigious public theaters in Italy. The artistic director of the theater is Antonio Calenda and the president is Miloš Budin. The theater building itself was built in 1878 in the eccletic style. Its a historical theater that also adapts to a wide variety of genres.

The maina ctivity of Teatro Stabile del Friuli Venezia Giulia  is the encouragement and spread of the culture of theater within Italy and abroad. Since its founding it has hosted over 300 of their own productions as well as 1000 guest shows. This cooperation also serves as the foundation for future plays. In its 60 years the theater has produced many prestigious directors, designers, musicians and actors. The theater has the capacity of 1531 viewers.
