Ten years ago, at the Tresk festival, a moment occurred that changed the course of Slovenian music history. It was then that the group Matter first took the stage—a trio that redefined the face of domestic hip-hop and opened the doors for a new generation of rap artists. Now, a decade later, they return with an exclusive concert that serve as both a retrospective of their musical journey and a preview of what’s to come.

Dacho, Tunja, and Levanael proved from their debut album Amphibios (2016) that they were far more than your typical rap collective. Mysterious, introspective, and always ahead of the curve, they crafted a unique brand of melancholic cloud rap that resonated with listeners even as it stirred up critics. This success was followed by Mrk (2017), the experimental Troglav (2019), and the monumental HAOS (2022)—each album marking a new milestone, each concert delivering an unforgettable experience.

From collaborating with MRFY on the hit “Zonzei” to creating the independent feature film Ameba, —featuring the band members as actors—Matter has consistently pushed the boundaries of artistic expression. During the pandemic, they recorded Testament ljubezni (2020) under the name Better alongside Tsujigiri, producing a rap-noise love letter to a dystopian present.

This concert is a celebration of a decade of creative chaos— a chance to experience the raw energy the trio continues to bring to every performance.
