One of the most exciting evenings of the year is approaching – the traditional Ljubljana City Theatre (MGL) concert. On Monday, 14 April, MGL will swap its home stage for the concert stage at Kino Šiška, where the ensemble of MGL actors, their regular guests, and a few completely fresh faces from the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television will take over.

This has traditionally been an evening when actors step into the shoes of the biggest music stars, singing nostalgic hits and contemporary chart-toppers alike. The iconic "Bella Ciao", the timeless "Lep poletni dan", "Birds of a Feather", "I Will Survive" and "Unchain My Heart" – these are just a few of the songs that will ring out at the Kino Šiška on the night. The diverse programme will be further spiced up by musical duets.

Under the leadership of Miha Petric and accompanied by musicians (Nejc Škofic, Sanja Mlinar Marin, Goran Rukavina, and Žiga Kožar), the concert stage will feature Lena Hribar Škrlec, Jernej Gašperin, Gregor Gruden, Jose (Murat&Jose), Matic Lukšič, Matej Puc, Filip Samobor, as well as regular guests Sara Gorše, Mojka Končar, Nika Manevski, Veronika Železnik, Lara Wolf, Voranc Boh (LGL), Robert Korošec, Gašper Lovrec, Gal Oblak, and Filip Štepec. The singers will train their voices under the guidance of renowned composer and pianist Saša Vollmaier.
