UCI MOUNTAIN BIKE WORLD CUP – WELCOME HOME


The Formula One in Mountain Bike, the Mercedes-Benz UCI Mountain Bike World Cup, returns to the venue, where mountain bike competitions have been held since 1998, and the last World Cup competition was organized in the season of 2010. The WORLD CUP black line with its length of 2.1 km offers adrenaline pleasures of the royal class. Monika Hrastnik, the most successful Slovenian female rider, describes the race course with following words:


»The entire route is interesting and great for spectators. Usually, most visitors spectate the race at the Rock'n Roll section at Trikotna jasa, although I think that the lower part of the course is also interesting because of the compressions. This is the section, where you actually see the difference in speed between the riders and the operation of the bikes. The terrain is very diverse, the track is very fast and you have to keep pace from the start. You must keep the speed you gain in bends and compressions along the whole course. Roots and rocky sections are in wet weather very slippery and this makes the course even more interesting and demanding.«

In order to attend the World Cup on Saturday and Sunday you will need to have a valid ticket.

  1. The visitor is obliged to carry and in case of control to show a valid ticket for the whole period of the event.

  2. Visitor can move only in the sector he / she has a valid ticket for. Sectors are marked on the entrance.

  3. Visitors 12 and less years old and up to 120 cm height are allowed to access the spectators Arena only accompanied by a person over 18 years of age.

  4. Entry with animals, especially dogs, is prohibited.

We strongly advise you to park free at Dvorana Tabor and nearby take the BUS number 6, that will drive you directly to the venue. Therefore, we suggest you take a look at ticket packages, which include bus and cable car services.
