The ARIA Award-winner for ‘Best World Music Album’ in 2012, 2013 and 2014, and with 11 ARIA-nominated albums under his belt, the Oud virtuoso Joseph Tawadros will delight audiences for a one night only solo performance in the amazing setting of the Maribor Minorite Church.
Praised for his ‘legendary oud skills’ and composing all works he performs, Joseph’s unique voice crosses borders of world, middle-eastern, jazz and classical genres. Over the course of 10 albums, various national and international collaborations, Joseph has tastefully pushed the boundaries of the oud, discovering new musical territory through his virtuosity, soulful compositions, and extraordinary vision as a collaborator.
Tawadros Middle Eastern flavoured compositions are a rare combination of highly emotional music intertwined with boundless energy.
